3. Download the Apps

One of the most significant benefits of a cloud-based telephone system is that you can eliminate almost all your on-site hardware, including desktop phones as they can be replaced with desktop and mobile softphone apps. But the apps are much more than a softphone, they are your complete communications suite for all your must have calling, messaging, and video meeting tools. From phonebooks to call histories, from chats to fax, the pascom apps are the one place to call, chat, share and meet.

4. Configure your SIP trunk

To be able to make and receive business phone calls, you will need to setup your SIP trunking to add your business’ phone number. Every free trial version will have the option of setting up a non-geographic number for testing purposes. Startups and any business looking for new phone numbers can order your phone numbers directly via mypascom. Obviously, if you already have an existing phone number that you want to keep, all you need to do is start the porting process via the Phone Numbers menu in mypascom.

If your business in based in the DACH region, you can switch your business phone number to our pascom ONE SIP trunking services. Otherwise you will need to check our list of supported VoIP providers .

5. Add / Invite Users

Now you are ready to make and receive calls, you need to add your employees as users to your pascom ONE phone system. There are several options for adding users. Firstly, adding users manually is of course possible as is inviting users per email. However, pascom ONE also integrates with Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory and LDAP directories as well as allowing for an automated CSV import to connect to your CRM/ERP system. For testing purposes, the quickest option is to invite two or three users using the invite function. Once you’re ready to go live and productive, we recommend using our connector templates to integrate your pascom ONE solution with your existing business apps.

6. Professional Call Flow Management

If you haven’t already, now is the time to start thinking about how to manage your incoming calls and how to best route them through your pascom ONE solution. This means creating and adding users to call queues (teams). These should represent your company teams such as sales, technical support, accounts and so on. Once added, it is time to define how calls should be routed in terms of time-based routing, announcements, options menues (IVR menues) and voicemail box settings.

  • 1. Add teams
  • 2. Add users to your teams
  • 3. Get professional with prompts, IVR menues and time-of-day call routing
